Another week, another project off the rails.
Don’t worry, not one of ours. It’s one for a client.
Again, I found myself drawing what I call “the project circle”.

- The competencies of project and program management, and what is taught, pretty much focus on the project. They plan, describe, track, and support the project (if you get them right).
- What they don’t do is inform how to actually make stuff happen within the project. I know people will comment telling me that Prince2 and Agile, etc. do that, and to some extent they do. But every approach falls short of what happens when projects are truly successful.
